Little Treasure is a new 3" CDR label from Spain and the first release by the wonderful Tiny Fireflies is due out on the 1st August. Pre-orders can be made via the Little Treasure website. I've said many times in the past that I am hopeless at trying to review new releases so I will let the label do the talking:
Tiny Fireflies are Lisle and Kristine from Chicago indiepop band Very Truly Yours, or Lisle from Fireflies, and Kristine from Tiny Microphone. They began Tiny Fireflies as a side project to appear on Between Two Waves, a compilation series driven by the concept of two musicians joining forces to create a song together, for Norwegian label EardrumsPop, but their success prompted a single on the same label shortly afterwards. Showing their love for new wave and delicate pop songs, Change finds Tiny Fireflies at their dreamiest: Kristine’s perfect pop melodies immersed in dense synth strings, sparse guitar lines and lots of reverb, driven by an unflinching, pulsating beat. You will love them if you like New Order, The Radio Dept. or Club 8 circa Club 8.
Tiny Fireflies are on tour in the UK at the moment and are also playing Indietracks. Copies of the EP will be available at the gigs. Fantastic!
